Amhara Association of Michigan is working to make a difference in Ethiopia.
Silence kills the innocent!
Regime-coordinated massacre of Wollega kilometers away from the regime’s military base.
Through the lens of Photographer Jamal Countess, who visited multiple IDP sites, untold human trauma is evident.
What crimes did these innocent people commit?
Established in 2022 as a civic organization, the Amhara Association of Michigan is engaged in advocacy and relief work for the victims.
What you can do to STOP the Suffering of Amharas in Ethiopia
“Untold human sufferings have pushed us to organize as Amharas in the State Of Michigan to be a voice for the millions of innocent voiceless.
As long there is a single Amhara who is suffering because of their ethnic identity in Ethiopia, our association will be a voice for that person to ensure not only Michiganders know about it but also the whole world knows about it and make informed decisions.”

Our Mission:
To be a voice for the millions of voiceless Amharas who have been killed, tortured, displaced, and have been denied their fundamental human rights to live freely in their country because of their Amhara identity.
Is it possible to make a difference?
Certainly! We are making a difference as members of the Federation of Amhara Associations in North America (FANA) and working with many other Amhara associations.
Silence is no longer an option!
Our Vission:
To see an Ethiopia where all citizens live in dignity, free from an ethnic apartheid regime that has subjected millions to inhumane living conditions and genocide for half a century.
How can you help?
- Do you believe in our vision and mission?
